Eva Richards

Eva was so lovely to work with. Her professionalism, group support and talent

were well noticed by the creative team. It was a new adventure to embark on

and I’m glad she was a part of it.

-John Tartaglia

Nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in the Tony Award-winning Avenue Q

A highly versatile singer-actress, Eva Richards most recently took her audience

on a journey “From Broadway to Brazil” during her one-woman show at the Metropolitan Room. Ms. Richards spent the evening singing in English, Spanish and Portuguese and even performed a Gloria Estefan medley! Before this, Ms. Richards got a chance to whip out some mean pop-rock showstoppers in an all-female cabaret “All About That Face” at Stage 72, The Triad. The show received wonderful reviews naming the performers “A contemporary group of young women with well-trained voices and a comic flair” stating that “with its impeccable timing, harmonies, and counterpoints, it’s entertainment of the highest level...”

Prior to hitting the cabaret trail, Eva had the honor of working with Tony nominee John Tartaglia and Broadway veteran Shannon Lewis, as the Teacher Susie understudy and swing in the original company of Jim Henson’s Sid the Science Kid Live! tour. Recognized for her talent at an early age, Eva attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts at which time she performed in a one night special with Paul Simon and Hugh Masekela at

Carnegie Hall.

An adept comedienne, Ms. Richards is a member of the Advanced Study Improv program at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She has trained under award winning improvisers and performs throughout the city with her improv team, LASSO. A native of Queens, New York, Eva is an alumna of SUNY Fredonia from which she graduated Cum Laude, completing her B.A. in Vocal Music and B.S. in Business Administration concurrently. An aficionado in Latin music, Eva starred as the solo vocalist with the SUNY Fredonia Latin Jazz Ensemble for the NY State Governor’s Inauguration at the Albany Convention Center.
An international traveler, Ms. Richards has visited twenty two countries on four continents and has made it one of her life goals to visit all seven continents.  In her free time, she practices Bikram yoga and lives with her adorable puppy, Cupcake.

Eva is a proud graduate of the William Esper Studio in New York and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association as well as being SAG-AFTRA eligible.
